The annual 4th of July fireworks take place at the Mattson Lower Harbor Park. Fireworks begin on July 3rd at dusk.

The Downtown Marquette Wednesday Evening Farmers Marquette will take place on Wednesday nights from June 21st through August 30. The market will be held on the 100 block of West Washington Street from 5:00 pm–8:00 pm.

Art Week brings together local artists, arts organizations, and businesses to put on a week-long series of special events, concerts, workshops, performances, and demonstrations during the last full week of June.

Ski Jumpers from all over the world will gather to jump the famous Suicide Hill at an international competition in Ishpeming. This is a 136-year-old tradition that is the oldest continual annual international sports competition in the United States. The creator of this club and this competition, Carl Tollefson went on to create the US ski team. It is a deep and integral part of local history and it is the reason the US Ski Hall of Fame is located in Ishpeming.

The Marquette Marathon, Marathon RELAY, Half Marathon, and Wildcat 5K are destination races run through the beauty that is Marquette County. For 2022, the Marquette Marathon, Marathon RELAY, Half Marathon, and Wildcat 5K will be held on Saturday, September 3rd, with the race EXPO being held on September 2nd.

The Noquemanon offers participants one of the premier point to point cross country ski epic’s in the United States.  The “Noque” has established itself as a fixture in the US for an epic ski event.  Whether you’ve done the Noque a few times, you’re a legacy skier, or completely new to the Noque we hope to see you in January.
